Hi, this is Joni and I have a pretty personal gift I’d like to give you today.
Ephesians tells us that we are to be to the praise of his glory. Everything we do should somehow, someway, make Jesus famous. Our attitude should reflect that he is really as good as he claims to be. Ephesians 2:10 says that we are God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus to do good works. And friend, for you to sit on a shelf, for you to be something less than what you’re supposed to be, is just an anathema. Followers of Jesus Christ worship the Father, share the Good News, and do good works that’ll advance the kingdom into this dark and hurting world.
What can I say?! These are the kinds of art lessons that mean the most to me as a Christian who paints. And just like you and I were created to worship the Lord, share, and serve… just like bells are meant to ring, I painted my Christmas cards to be used to tell others about God’s precious gift of salvation. I don’t want to design beautiful cards that just, well… sit in somebody’s drawer or on a shelf; no, I tried my best to create a card that I think people want to use).
And so, I asked our team at Joni and Friends to create a packet of three of my Christmas cards, one of which shows those happy, ringing bells. They come with beautiful gold-foil lined envelopes – very nice, very high-end. The team did a good job.
