And starting today…well, this week is going to have a slower pace... a little more relaxed... things can settle down now that the Christmas holidays are winding down before the new year starts. Well, how about taking a deep breath! Maybe there will be a chance this week to sit by a window and look out on the cold winter day, perhaps today there is a light snow falling outside where you live... and sitting there by that window, it'll be a quiet opportunity to reflect on the wondrous reality of the birth of Christ, the birth that we just celebrated. Think on that... think on your Savior as you listen to these words... words I wrote to go with the tune of this wonderful hymn, "Whiter Than Snow"...
I sat by the window one cold winter day
A light snow was falling, I started to pray
My spirit was humbled, my heart was laid low
I longed to be pure and white just like the snow.
